These puppets demonstrate other types and styles of puppets and techniques that I have in my repertoire which are not featured elsewhere on this site. Often a puppet is required to solve a problem or create a magical transformation. The red star shown here is an example as it was required to morph into a bird. I design and build hand, rod and string (marionettes,) and utilize a wide range of techniques to build them. These include, but are not limited to: carving (wood or foam,) flat patterning, paper sculpture, soft sculpture, felting, fabric manipulation, molding/casting (neoprene, latex, silicone, etc.) and papier mache´.
